How a Challenge May Be the Boost You Need to Lose Weight

I’ve talked about how many times I would try to lose weight and fail, whether it was because the diet just didn’t work, or because I would fall off the diet and gain the weight right back. Nothing I seemed to try was sustainable, or realistic for the amount of weight I had to lose.
One of the things that led me to want to buckle down and lose the weight finally was competition… and embarrassment. It was my competitive nature that led me to make the bet that I would lead me to lose. This meant that I had to do pushups in front of a group of people I was supposed to be protecting, and when I couldn’t even do one, I knew I had to figure out what was wrong with me. This was the beginning of my journey.
Now, I want competition to be that turning point for you as well, only without the embarrassment and shame that I went through.
I am holding a competition where challengers will compete with one another to lose the most weight and have the biggest transformation. Right now, registration is open for the Best Me Challenge, but there are only a limited number of spots, and they will fill up quick!

When you sign up, you are paired with a nutritionist who will create a meal plan just for you. When I started I weight 605 lbs, and have since lost over 300 lbs. This didn’t happen overnight and it took a lot of hard work, and if you have a lot of weight to lose, you know I’ve been there. I can show you the steps I took and how I was able to finally get all the weight off. My weight was affecting my life and my health, more than I had realized.

One thing that this challenge will focus on is creating healthy habits and when it comes to weight loss, this is key. If you fail to create healthy habits in the beginning, chances are your weight loss efforts will fail.
In this challenge I will teach you the habits you will need to establish to become successful, using the steps I took to become successful. Not only will you get some tips and tricks, but I’ll teach you how to meal prep, cook, and shop for food.
Not only will you use these new habits throughout the challenge, but these are habits that you will take with you once the challenge is over to continue towards your goals. Depending on how much weight you have to lose, chances are you will not lose everything you want during a three month period. If you are like I was, with 300+ lbs to lose, a three month period wasn’t going to make all that weight disappear, but it was enough time for me to create the habits that led to losing the weight, and it was enough time to really see a difference when looking in the mirror. Customized Healthy Meals
While creating healthy habits is crucial to losing weight, this isn’t the number one issue we all face. The one issue that we all face is knowing what to eat and how much.
Did you know that at one point I was undereating so much, that I stopped losing weight? Yes, I wasn’t eating enough! Once I started eating the right amount, I began to lose weight again.
Knowing how much to eat, and just want to eat every meal, is more complicated than we realize sometimes. This is why challengers will be paired up with a nutritionist who will create a meal plan specifically for them.
What does this mean?
This means that your nutritionist will take into consideration your body stats (weight and height), with your goals, and the foods you already like to eat, so your meal plans will only contain foods that you like to eat.
Once you get your meal plan, you will be able to turn to your nutritionist with any support or questions you may have, and they will be there for you throughout the entire challenge. Support You Can Lean On
I’ve talked a lot in the past about how important it is to find people who will support you through your journey and I have also talked about the lack of support I had when I started to lose weight.
I when I began my journey, most of the people around me didn’t take me seriously and I actually lost a lot of friends because I no longer wanted to live that unhealthy lifestyle of going out, partying and eating whatever I wanted to. No longer were we all just hanging out and eating pizza.
The lack of support I had made it a lot more difficult to lose weight, and with this challenge, you won’t have to search far for it. When you join the challenge, I will be there to support you within a specific Facebook Group, where I will be active and will be conducting Live sessions weekly so you can personally ask any questions you have. Plus, you will have the support of an entire community of challengers who are on the same journey as you.
And, as mentioned before, you will have the complete support of your nutritionist who you will be able to turn to for support and to answer any questions about nutrition you may have.
