As you move into your new healthier lifestyle where you are eating more nutritious foods, chances are you are trying to eat more greens and more vegetables. This also means you are probably trying to eat more salads.
If you are just coming off a diet full of unhealthy, calorie laden foods, then chances are you are eating those salads, but with a lot of dressing. While it is good that you are eating more salads and consuming more greens, there is a good chance that you are sabotaging your efforts with the dressing you are using.
And I get it. Lettuce isn’t the most flavorful and satisfying food by itself, that is why we use salad dressing. But the salad dressing doesn’t have to be bad for you, nor does it have to be unappealing and taste like a “diet” food.
Try this homemade salad dressing using Apple Cider Vinegar. Not only does it taste great but it is great for you. Apple Cider Vinegar is known to have a bunch of health benefits, such as aiding in weight loss, lowering your bad cholesterol, and helping to control blood sugar.
Try this super simple recipe for your next salad and see for yourself!
How to Make Homemade Vinegarette
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp Dill
All you have to do is mix all of your ingredients together and massage your dressing really well into your salad. Remember, a little bit goes a long way.
This dressing isn’t just a good way to eat your salads, but can also serve as a great dip for your veggies or a marinade for chicken. It is healthy, delicious, and very versatile!
You can use this dressing to spice up so many meals on the Custom Meal Plan without worrying about it interfering with your results. Enjoy your food, and enjoy salads, without sabotaging your results.
