The 3 Keys to Major Weight Loss

I just launched my Team Possible membership site, a platform that helps address the major issues that people face when losing weight.
Struggling to lose weight is common. I know because I fought my entire life with how my weight, and it took me a lot of time to figure out how to finally lose it all. Although so many people struggle to lose weight, there are three different issues that people face, and it isn’t the same for everyone.
For me, I struggled with all three areas, and the one I struggled with the most changed over time. At first, nutrition was a huge struggle for me. I didn’t know what to eat, and the healthy food I thought I was eating turned out to not be so healthy after all.
Once I began to understand nutrition, I knew I needed to exercise, but at 605 pounds I wasn’t ready for the gym, and I was limited in my movements. So, I began walking until I was prepared for more complex movements, and then, eventually, the gym. I struggled the whole way with knowing what I should be doing.
Finally, once I began to lose weight, I realized I didn’t have a lot of support, and it became difficult to stick to my healthy habits.
For successful weight loss, you need to be able to dial in these three keys.
Key #1: Nutrition
The first and most important key to weight loss is your nutrition, but it can also be one of the most challenging parts.
I’ve seen a lot of people struggling with knowing just what they should be eating, and how much they should be eating.
On a basic level, it may seem easy. Start eating more salads and less butter, right? But, sometimes it isn’t that easy, and there are many ways that you can sabotage the foods that are healthy.
For example, you can sabotage your healthy salad by overusing dressing or ruin your healthy chicken by frying it. And, butter can actually help you lose weight if you are manipulating your diet correctly. Also, just because a particular food says “diet,” doesn’t mean it is going to help you lose weight, or even be healthy.
Dieting and losing weight isn’t so black and white, but instead can be very complicated because of the way our body responds to different types of foods that we eat.
When it comes to weight loss, everyone is different. We all have different preferences in food, and not everyone gets the same fulfillment from the same types of diets. Some people do the Keto diet and have a lot of success, while others struggle with the limitation of carbs. For others, they do really well on a carb-cycle and find that this type of eating leaves them more satisfied.
When I began my journey, I just focused on healthy eating and eating within my calories, and this worked for me for a long time.
Team Possible focuses on these three different types of eating patterns so that you can discover which one works best for you. I have even set up a library of healthy recipes, complete with the calorie count and macros so you can quickly create your weekly own meal plan. This meal plan can then easily be printed, so you know exactly what you are eating for your weight loss goals.
I have even included an area to help you figure out how many calories you should be eating to lose weight.
Key #2: Exercise
Although you can lose a lot of weight by changing your nutrition, you will lose a lot more weight by moving more.
As I mentioned above, when I first started to lose weight was 605 pounds and just not ready to go to the gym. Not only could I not use many of the machines, but I didn’t feel comfortable, and I didn’t know what exercises to do when I got there.
Instead, I began walking to Walmart every day to get the food that I would eat. If I wanted to eat, that means I would have to walk. At 605 pounds, there weren’t many movements I could do besides walking. Since I began my journey, I learned how to modify workouts so that I could do them at my pace, and eventually, I worked up my own routines and workouts.
These are the same workouts that I share with my members on Team Possible. Through my membership platform, I post a new workout every day and alternate between home and gym workouts. This way, if you are already going to the gym, you have a new workout every other day, with rest days in between. If you are not ready for the gym, I also have a workout that you can complete at home, using a rest day every other day, without setting foot in the gym.
By exercising you are able to burn additional calories, meaning you will lose weight more quickly. You will also be able to build muscle as you burn fat.
Key #3: Support
When I began my journey, I didn’t have much support. When I said I wanted to lose weight, people encouraged me but didn’t really believe that I was going to lose it this time. It wasn’t the first time I had wanted to lose weight, and I hadn’t been successful before. So many people just rolled their eyes at me when I told them I was going on a diet. They didn’t think I could do it.
The people I knew, wanted to keep living their life the way we had been, and this meant going out, drinking, and living off of unhealthy food. They weren’t on the same journey as I was, and that was okay. However, I knew if I wanted to lose weight, I could no longer join them. I couldn’t go out and drink every night and eat pizza.
Eventually, I met others who could encourage me and help me along on my journey. I surrounded myself with people who could give me advice and help me learn how to structure my nutrition and my exercise. Most importantly, I surrounded myself with people who could be there when I wanted to give up.
Because support is something that I struggled with, I wanted to be sure to include this in Team Possible. This is why I also created an exclusive Facebook Group for members so that they could support one another, and I could also give additional support through this group.
When you have people that support you through the easy and hard times, you are more likely to reach your weight loss goals. Plus, you will no longer be alone in your struggles, but instead, be surrounded by a community of people who know exactly what you are going through.
