If you’re reading this, I am sure you are looking for the best fat burner on the market today. The fact is, the best fat burner isn’t really on the market because the best fat burner is you and the decisions you choose to make.

The best fat burner in the world is the one you create by doing everything it takes to lose the weight. It is the one you create by choosing to eat the right foods and the one where you challenge yourself every day to move more. The best fat burner in the world is the one where you give 110% and still try to find a way to put forth more effort.

This means you don’t bullshit and half step on your diet.

This means you don’t go to the gym just to take selfies, but instead put the real work in.

This means you don’t drink or cheat with your meals on the weekend.

This means you are not letting anyone else tell you that you can’t lose the weight.

If you are looking for the “magic pill” that you can buy to reach your goals, you are not doing yourself any favors. There is no “magic pill” or “secret” to weight loss. Trust me, it doesn’t exist and if it did you can be sure they would be subscribing it to people all over the world to help them lose weight. No one would be overweight if that existed! There is no pill that you can take that will make the weight just fall off.

If you want to lose the weight, you will have to put the work in and pay attention to what you eat. You will have to exercise more, start lifting weights and stay in a calorie deficit.

Stop Living in the Moment

You’ve heard people say to “live in the moment” or “you only live once” when it comes to doing things they know they shouldn’t. I hear people use this as an excuse for eating the things they know are unhealthy for them, but the truth is, shouldn’t these be the exact reasons for us not to eat the things that cause weight gain?

Eating healthy, exercising, and losing weight isn’t just about looking better, it is about feeling better and living better. It is about living longer and more fulfilled lives.

Shouldn’t we eat healthy so that we can have of those moments to live by? And because we only live once, shouldn’t we make it count and make it last as long as we possibly can?

If you want to lose weight, you need to stop living for things that will only make you happy in the moment. You need to think long-term. Stop looking for a pill that you can take, and instead take control of your life.

Stop Feeding Your Body the WRONG Food

The biggest choice you can make is the food that you put into your body. Nutrition is 80% of the equation when it comes to losing weight, and if you are feeding your body processed foods, then you are going to overeat and gain weight. Processed foods are full of empty calories and tons of sugar, neither of which provides your body with the nutrition it needs to function properly.

The food you eat is the fuel your body needs to work and survive. Everything you do relies on what you consume, from something so basic as breathing to the workouts you do every day.

If you are just starting out, then the first thing you need to do is begin to work on your nutrition. Go to your cupboard and throw away anything processed or unhealthy.

We are too often told that if we want to lose weight we have to stop eating fats and we have to stop eating carbs. No, you have to stop eating unhealthy foods. Stop eating the chips and the treats, and stop eating at McDonald’s.

Focus on eating healthy fats like avocado, nuts, coconut oil, fish, and eggs. Focus on eating healthy carbs like sweet potatoes and quinoa. Be sure you are eating vegetables and drinking plenty of water every day.

Start Moving More

I understand that if you have a lot of weight to lose working out can be difficult, but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to move more every day. Every day your goal should be to do better than you did the day before.

When I began my journey I was 605 pounds and exercise was something that was difficult for me. At the time, getting out of bed, off the couch, or tying my shoes was a challenge, so there was no way I was ready to hit the gym for a hard workout. That is why I began to walk, and you know what? It worked. Eventually, my walks became more intense, and once I lost 100 pounds, I started to go to the gym for some simple exercises.

We all start at different stages, but the concept is the same: move and challenge yourself.

Get In a Caloric Deficit

There are many weight loss calculators out there, but the calculations are simple to do on your own as well. To lose weight, you must be in a caloric deficit. This means that the calories you burn must be more than the calories you consume so that your body is forced to burn fat for energy.

The first step is to figure out how many calories you need to consume to sustain the weight you are at, so you need to know how much you weight right now.

Don’t guess, know for sure.

Before I began to lose weight, I underestimated how much I had weight. At my best guess, I thought I was around 450 pounds. After visiting my doctor, I realized I was way off… by 150 pounds!

This is why I encourage you to know how much you weigh and don’t leave it to guessing.

Once you know your weight, multiply it by 14. This is how many calories you need to consume to sustain the weight you are at. To be in a calorie deficit, you need to be sure that you are eating below this number.

Keep in mind that 1 pound is equal to 3,500 calories. Be sure that you do not cut your calories too low or you will fail to lose weight as your body goes into starvation mode and holds onto your fat stores.

I tried all the weight loss pills and all the diets out there, and in the end, it came down to just eating right and moving more. It came to educating myself on what I was putting in my body and not living for the moment.

The idea may be simple, but the staying motivated can be a challenge. So can knowing how many calories you should eat or what type of foods you should be eating.
